Las Vegas at Night
What’s better than doing what you want and when you want to?
Las Vegas is a vacation destination that one can definitely go alone. Arguably, it may be better to go by yourself than with others. With only so many days to spend there, many times, when you go with others, you end up doing things of the most common denominator. For instance, if someone doesn’t like to go to night clubs, all of you may end up not going.
You don’t need luck but you do need to bring lots of money. Sure luck is important but if you plan to gamble, having enough money to get you through the swings and to budget your daily spending is critical. Leave your debit card and bring cash. Use the room’s safe or just wire it to the casino cage. There’s nothing worse than being in Las Vegas without money except getting ill.
A Craps Win
Rent a car. Waiting in a taxi line in the heat sucks. Also, limiting yourself to the hotel buffets and hotel restaurants could get dull. Having a car allows you to get away from the strip anytime you want and go anywhere around town. Driving is relatively easy in Las Vegas. Interstate 15, and Las Vegas Blvd run north-south but use Paradise and S Valley View Blvd to get away from traffic. Stay away from Las Vegas Blvd as much as you can.
All of the restaurants there, even the high end ones, won’t think twice about taking in a party of one. Sometimes you won’t even have to wait for a table if you just want to eat at the bar. If you get bored, just bring along a book/magazine or browse the news on your phone while you wait.
Spurs won. What a no brainer. Should have bet more.
Another suggestion would be to pamper yourself while there. Getting a hair cut, a shave, manicure, pedicure, a massage or just getting a day pass at the spa are all good choices. None of these things require you to be with someone else.
Finally, drink lots of water and hydrate. Just stop by at the local mart and pick up a few bottles of water and bring it to your hotel. Most ailments are rooted in dehydration. You’ll be glad you’re drinking your water in Las Vegas.
So there it is in a nutshell. If you’re going to Las Vegas, do it alone.
